The Vidi Web Top 100 Internet contest and event is Croatia's top IT event, and one of Croatia's major gala events overall. |
In 2002 there were more than 1000 nominated web sites, and more than 250 VIPs, including the Croatian Prime Minister Ivica Racan and several Croatian ministers, attended the award giving ceremony in Zagreb's Sheraton Hotel.
In 2000, 2001 and 2002 the Vidi Web Top 100 contest was heavily supported not only by Croatian top politicians, but also by leading International and local ITC companies such as Croatian Telekom, Hewlett Packard, Cisco Systems, Ericsson, Pricewaterhouse Coopers and many others.
Together with the Cabinet of the Croatian Prime Minister, Vidi computer publishing introduced a special Croatian Internet award in July 2002 for special achievments, the Croatian "Prime Minister's Web award". The first ever Croatian "Prime Minister's Web Award" for the year 2002 was given to the web site www.moj-posao.net - a Croatian private on-line job market. |
